What is God’s word for His church as we move to the final weeks of 2020? I believe God is reminding us to keep dreaming. God has some new things ahead for you and your ministry.
In October, the OMN leadership traveled the state encouraging pastors and churches to keep dreaming. Our special guest and national leader Dr. Choco de Jesus was used by God to give us an inspiring and insightful message to dream God-Sized Dreams. Over 400 OMN pastors and leaders attended one of the rallies.
Let me say, don’t allow the COVID-19 pandemic, the major “election” results, or the “cancel culture” movement, distract or derail you from what God wants to do in your life or the life of His Church. He has an awesome dream for you and your assembly.
I love the line found in the narrative of Joseph’s life experience in Genesis 42. After years of disappointment and serious setbacks, it says that Joseph remembered what God had promised.
"And Joseph remembered the dreams that he had dreamed…"
Genesis 42:9
Fast forward to Genesis 50:19 some 13 years later. You read these famous lines as the dream is fulfilled. "But Joseph said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Am I in the place of God? You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives. So then, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your children.” And he reassured them and spoke kindly to them."
Here is my encouragement for us all.
So, 2020 has been a strange year in many ways. But the platform has been set to allow God to exchange your setbacks for setups. He has prepared you to accomplish His dream for His Church. Now allow God to take you where you have never gone before. Keep dreaming.
“‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams."
