Guard Your Heart

My son, pay attention to what I say;
listen closely to my words.

Do not let them out of your sight,
keep them within your heart;
for they are life to those who find them
and health to a man’s whole body.

Above all else, guard your heart,
for it is the wellspring of life.

Observations

• What is in your heart will dictate how you live.
• Make sure your affections push you in the right direction.
• Establish good boundaries to keep you from getting distracted or derailed.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the wisdom of your Word.
Search my heart, O God, and help me detect anything
that would not be appropriate.
Give me the courage to make changes You are calling me to make.

Help me to pay attention to what You are saying.
Help me to put the proper boundaries in place in my life.
Help me to keep my eyes on the prize set before me.

I choose to believe that You have good things in store for me.
