A Chosen People

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

1 Peter 2:9-10

Observation

• Remember that God chose you and has a remarkable purpose for your life.
• You were designed for a destiny and created for community.
• Your worth is based on what God has done, not what you do.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank you for placing value on my life.
I thank you that you have chosen me and are shaping me.
I thank you for calling me out of darkness into your wonderful light.

I look to you to continue your work in my life.
Help me to be active in your priestly work of reconciliation.

I pray for my family and friends today who do not yet serve you.
Draw them to a place of full surrender.
