Proverbs 28:1 The righteous are as BOLD as a lion.
One of the bold aspects of the Oregon Ministry Network is our investment and participation in missions. This is a major part of who we are. I want you to meet our newest approved OMN missionaries. Family, let’s stand with these amazing newly appointed missionaries with our prayer and financial support. Tristan & Jackie Cross served as missionary associates in Spain. While ministering in the city of Madrid they sensed God calling them to commit their lives to reaching the 25 million secular Spaniards. It is estimated that approximately one percent of this people group identify as Evangelical. Shaya Lindseth is returning to work with the Urban Tribes Church Planting Initiative. With 61 percent of Africa’s 1.2 billion people migrating to the city by the year 2030, twelve short years from now, a new strategy has been devised to plant high-impact churches in the major cities of the continent. Shaya will be working with a team in the heart of the capital city of Addis Ababa, a city of 3.4 million. Joel & Amy Slater’s ministry experience, including 13 years on the pastoral staff at Portland Christian Center is needed in the nation of Malawi, Africa. Their task will be to help the Malawi AOG, a church of over one million members, create systems of growth that bring together theological knowledge and leadership skills, necessary for effective transformation (discipleship). Jerry & Gwen Gibson recently transitioned from serving at Horizon Community Church in Tualatin to working with National Chi Alpha. Their assignment is to develop a transferable template as a means of equipping and empowering a local church to establish Chi Alpha ministries on the smaller universities where we don’t have campus missionaries. Christian Anderson will be leading a re-pioneering team for Chi Alpha at Oregon State University. The college outreach of Chi Alpha is a deep passion of his. Christian was discipled, called to ministry and also met his wife Ramona through Chi Alpha. He has served for the last 10 years pioneering a Chi Alpha at a community college in Mt. Vernon, Washington - Skagit Valley College.
