Summit Business & Missions

I’m excited about and anticipate great things happening during our 2025 Summit, which will be held at Peoples Church in Salem on April 28-29, 2025. I hope to see you there.

On Monday morning, during our business session, we will hear encouraging reports about what the LORD is doing across Oregon, and we will have the following elections:

  • Network Regional Presbyters (Willamette, Coast, Eastern): They must be an ordained minister with the General Council of the Assemblies of God for at least three years and reside in the Network for two years.
  • Network Presbyter Under 40 (Additional Representation): They must be an ordained minister with the General Council of the Assemblies of God under the age of 40 at the time of election and actively involved in ministry within the Network.
  • General Presbyter: They must be an ordained pastor of a General Council-affiliated assembly located in the Network for at least 1 year immediately before the election. They must have held credentials as ordained ministers for at least 5 consecutive years in the Assemblies of God and been a member of the Network for a minimum of 3 consecutive years immediately before their election.
  • General Council Northwest Area Nonresident Executive Presbyter Nomination: The Network shall nominate two ordained ministers to be presented as its nominees. One must be the Network Lead Pastor (Superintendent) and one who must meet the qualifications for the General Presbyter.
  • General Council Northwest Area Nonresident Executive Presbyter Under 40 Nomination (Additional Representation, Ordained Minister): They must be an ordained minister with the General Council of the Assemblies of God under the age of 40 at the time of election and actively involved in ministry within the Network.

Further, we will act on two resolutions related to our OMN bylaws ARTICLE XXI. Further, we will act on two resolutions related to our OMN bylaws ARTICLE XXI. Please review them in advance and bring your copy to the Summit. No additional copies will be available for the business session.

Tuesday evening is our Missions Service, and we are privileged to have our AGWM Executive Director, John Easter, as our special guest. You won’t want to miss this service! In preparation for it, we encourage every church and minister to prayerfully consider two opportunities to invest in the Kingdom.

First is our annual Summit Missionary Offering, which covers airfares for all our global workers and provides household funds for those going out for the first time.

Second, we will receive gifts and faith pledges for our current Accelerate the Now initiative. We launched this Chi Alpha initiative two years ago to raise a million dollars over three years to reach and disciple a million university students in Oregon. So far, we have received over $375,000. We hope and pray that every church in our Network family will participate. No gift or pledge is too small. We can achieve this together for the LORD and His Kingdom’s sake!

Please send your offering in advance to the OMN office designated “Summit Missions Offering” or “Accelerate the Now” or give online HERE. It would be wonderful to announce what we have already received during the mission service. You can also bring your offerings and gifts with you. Either way, I want to thank you in advance for your participation in this important mission service. Your partnership in these two opportunities is valued and deeply appreciated as we strive to build His church and expand His kingdom around the globe.

I look forward to spending time with our Network family in a few weeks. You can find our full conference schedule on our Summit webpage.
