Want to save some money?

Check out this email recently received from one of our churches and see if you qualify.

“We recently had Energy Trust of Oregon come out and do a walk-through of our buildings to see how we could upgrade and save on electricity. Previously, we had replaced 13 old thermostats with Wi-Fi-enabled ones – Energy Trust of Oregon covered the entire cost! They looked at our 13 heating/cooling units, some 23 years old, and would cost $30-50k to replace. It sounds like there may be assistance in replacing them. They said, “I think you’ll be happy,” so we anxiously await hearing back. https://www.energytrust.org/incentives/equipment-upgrades-and-retrofits-increased-incentives-for-small-businesses/#tab-four

They also have a program for small businesses through the end of 2024 for lighting – a 100% no-cost replacement for us. We’re still waiting on the conclusion, but it sounds like they will have an electrician replace all our fluorescent lights – both rectangular ones with the tubes and our fluorescent can lighting with LED bulbs with no out-of-pocket cost. Also, we are upgrading our parking lot lighting. Here’s the link for that: https://www.energytrust.org/incentives/existing-buildings-small-business-lighting/

We’ve used Energy Trust of Oregon over the years for rebates on gym lighting, commercial kitchen appliances, etc., and have discovered that there are some significant savings to be had with a little effort.

There are other incentives they offer on their full application (https://www.energytrust.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/BE_FM0120P.pdfIf); if interested, contact Energy Trust of Oregon at their website: https://www.energytrust.org/about/contact-us/
