‚ĶSo Samuel went and lay down in his place.‚Ä® The LORD came and stood there,‚Ä® calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel!”‚Ä® Then Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”‚Ä® And the LORD said to Samuel: ‚Ä®”See, I am about to do something in Israel‚Ä® that will make the ears of everyone who hears about it tingle.

3. God does speak often through the unexpected.
Prayer
Father, I thank you for calling me by name. I thank you for speaking to me personally. ‚Ä®Lord, I will make an effort to listen carefully to your words.‚Ä®I will anticipate your guidance and direction ‚Ä®in every decision that I will make today.‚Ä® I will look forward to you speaking to me through your Word and‚Ä® the Holy Spirit’s prompting.‚Ä® I will be alert to you speaking to me through circumstances and godly counsel.‚Ä®Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening! ‚Ä®I will expect you to work in a mighty way in and through my life.‚Ä®In Jesus’ name, amen!
