It is Written

The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, tell this stone to become bread.” Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone.’” The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. So if you worship me, it will all be yours.” Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.’”

Luke 4:3-8

OBSERVATIONS

1. Expect to encounter temptations, but don't give in.
2. Your greatest defense to temptation is responding with the Word of God.
3. All of your strengths and abilities are gifts from God.

TODAY'S PRAYER

Father, I thank you today for your protection and blessings. I pray that you will lead me in responding the best way in every situation. Give me the strength to say yes or no at the right time. Lead me not into temptation but deliver me from the evil one. Today, I refuse to give up or give in to the enemy's schemes. I will stand upon the Word of God and be victorious.
