When it comes to church planting, God is up to something in Oregon, and though the pandemic and political tensions rage, the Church in Oregon is advancing. The mission of Church Multiplication in our Network is to establish at least one healthy church in every incorporated city and census-designated place in the state with a population of at least 1,000. In order to fulfill our mission, we have set a goal to plant 5 churches per year.
Last week 40 members of our Network family gathered in Renton, Washington for resourcing and training. The week started with a Regional Roundtable, which is a one-day event designed to connect regional leaders from around the Northwest who have a common interest in church multiplication. It was followed by Launch; a three-day training for church planters and their teams. This event concluded with a commissioning and celebration service. Check it out here.
The 40 who attended are all answers to our prayers and represent 5 new church plants all starting within the next 12 months: Gladstone, Lincoln City, Eugene, Roseburg, and Canby, plus 2 digital campuses and 1 Dinner Church. Please pray for these new efforts and for the God of the harvest to continue to provide multiplying churches and willing workers.
