Be Ready

Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming,
he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready,
because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

Matthew 24:42-44

Observations

1. Your eternal destination is determined by your commitment to Christ.
2. Be alert, because Christ’s return will be sudden and swift.
3. Be ready, by living as if Christ’s return is today and by planning as if it is years from now.

Today's Prayer

Father, I look forward to Christ’s return.
I want to live my life alert and ready.

Help me to be a great witness to others.
Help me to be faithful and active until you come.

I will face the day with great expectation.
Amen! Amen!
