Seek Good

Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then the LORD God Almighty will be with you, just as you say he is. Hate evil, love good; maintain justice in the courts.
Perhaps the LORD God Almighty will have mercy on the remnant of Joseph.

Amos 5:14-15

Observations

1. Set your affections on the things of God.
2. Develop distaste for the godless way of living.
3. Pray for the mercy of God to be shown to those who have gone astray.

Prayer

Father, I am committed to seeking good and not evil. I am trusting You to turn the negative
situations in my life for good. I will not allow myself to remain discouraged because of how
someone else has treated me. With Your help, I will look to return good for evil. In Jesus’ wonderful name, amen!
