The Year of Opportunity: a God-given moment in time to improve, initiate, and influence.

…make the most of every opportunity. Colossians 4:5
For many, 2021 is welcomed with a sigh of relief in light of the challenges and chaos that 2020 brought. No matter how bad you think 2020 went, we are praying and believing that 2021 will be a better year.
I personally sense in my spirit that 2021 will be a year of opportunities. It will be a year of timely conversations, significant invitations and impacting decisions. I am convinced that 2021 will bring open doors that will increase our effectiveness and efficiencies in ministry. We should expect opportunities that we have not had before. We must keep our eyes open and our ears tuned to what God is saying.
So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.
Ephesians 5:15-16 (NLT)
Opportunities usually will require decisions to be made and steps to be taken. Throughout 2021 you will need to decide how you will respond to the open door before you. The question you must consider in the new year, How will I respond to new opportunities in this new year? Will I choose fear or faith, resolve or reluctance, wisdom or foolishness? Choosing to approach 2021 in faith, resolve, and wisdom will help prepare you to take advantage of the open doors God will bring your way.
Remember him before the door to life’s opportunities is closed…
Ecclesiastes 12:4 (NLT)
SIX WAYS I WILL PREPARE FOR THIS YEAR OF OPPORTUNITIES
I am certain if we approach 2021 in this manner, God will bring fresh opportunities our way over the next 12 months. Let’s begin now to believe God for open doors in our families, churches, and communities.
If a window of opportunity appears, don’t pull down the shade.
