A Strong Tower

The words of a gossip are like choice morsels;
they go down to a man’s inmost parts.
One who is slack in his work
is brother to one who destroys.
The name of the LORD is a strong tower;
the righteous run to it and are safe.
The wealth of the rich is their fortified city;
they imagine it an unscalable wall.
Before his downfall a man’s heart is proud,
but humility comes before honor.

Proverbs 18:8-12

Observations

1. Declaring the mighty name of the LORD will bring peace in the midst of any storm.
2. God never loses His power, He is always dependable.
3. Humility is strength and not weakness.

Prayer

Father, the mention of your name brings peace to the storms of life.
I pray today that you will be my strong tower.

I will rest in your safety and assurance.
I will walk in faith and not fear.
I will walk in confidence and not insecurity.
I will walk in peace not panic.

Lord, I pray that every need will be supplied.
May this be the month that I see your mighty hand at work in my life.
