A Discerning Heart

"Now, O LORD my God, you have made your servant king
in place of my father David. But I am only a little child and do not know how to carry out my duties. Your servant is here among the people you have chosen, a great people, too numerous to count or number. So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?" The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for this.

1 Samuel 7:22-24

Observation
1. God has an extraordinary assignment just for you.
2. Need wisdom? Simply ask the Lord for it.
3. The Lord is pleased when we ask him for discernment.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank you for calling me to serve you. I am committed to serve you to the best of my ability. I pray that you will give me discernment and wisdom. Help me to honor you with my words and work. I am looking forward with hope and expectation.
