Trust

2020: A new decade to see what God has in store for each of us.

As I have contemplated the monthly letters for this year, I have felt that I would be transparent and honest, sharing the joys and the challenges of everyday life. So, I’ll start with admitting February was here before I knew it. Ever been there?

December and January were a whirlwind. We have been in and out of hospitals, rehab center, and now have placed Mom in an assisted living facility close to home. This month she turns 101. It’s been an amazing journey.

My personal word for the year is TRUST and it has definitely been tested. In the midst of difficulties, it is so easy to try and take things into your own hands. Many times we think we know what needs to be done and we press on. These past weeks have been ones where I couldn’t fix things and I’ve had to TRUST God with the answers.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, in ALL your ways ACKNOWLEDGE Him and He will DIRECT your path. I’ve suggested that verse a time or two to others, now I’m saying it to myself.

Can you imagine how much less anxiety and fear we would have if we truly trusted God? I know it's not always easy, but I’ve been reminded again, God sees things we can’t see. He knows things we don’t know. And He wants us to trust His ways and His plans.

What are you having to trust God for in your life?

Let me encourage you today with these words:
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned;the flames will not set you ablaze (Is. 43:2).”

Today I’m thankful that the Lord continually reminds me that He is with me and He goes before me.

The Lord is MY SHEPHERD and He’s constantly watching over me and He’s constantly watching over every circumstance that you’re facing.

Choose today to walk in knowing God’s Word is truth. Believe it. Declare it.God loves you, He is with you, and no matter what you face, you can always trust Him.
