One True God

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

Observation

• Love God with all your heart, soul and strength.
• Practice living by the Word of God.
• Teach the next generations the word and ways of God.

Prayer
Father, I thank you for parents who taught and modeled for me your Word. I am grateful for the truth that has set me free and given me hope and help daily. I do love you, Lord, with all of my heart. I do want to honor you with my life.
I pray for the next generation in our family. Help them to know your Word and live by it. Help me to model faith, hope and love.
