Be Prepared to Give an Answer

But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander. It is better, if it is God's will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.

1 Peter 3:15-17

Observation

• Be ready for the opportunities to share Christ that come your way.
• Allow God to rule your thoughts and emotions.
• Keep your conduct above criticism.

Prayer
Father, I am fully aware of my shortcomings and failings.
Help me to stay focused on you and your strength.

May my beliefs and behavior match up.
May my words and walk honor you.
May my testimony be an inspiration to others.

I ask you to give me wisdom in my responses to others today.
I surrender my time, talent and treasure once again.
