He Will Lift You Up

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Come near to God and he will come near to you.
Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom.

Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Observation
• Your best defense against the enemy is to fully submit to God.
• God's love gives you worth and dignity despite your shortcomings.
• Looking up will lift you up.

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I confess my shortcoming and sins to you today.
I thank you for your grace and forgiveness.

I draw near to you and humble myself before you.
My worth comes from you alone.

Today, I look up knowing you will lift me up.
I pray for my family, friends and community.
May we turn our hearts toward you.
