Fall Semester is Underway!

In late August, we welcomed new transfer students as well as students who are beginning their college experience. If you missed the deadline, you still have time to apply for classes that begin in late October. Contact Kyle Thompson for details.

Introducing Faculty that Make A Difference: Dr. Steve Emerson
Many leaders in our Network know Dr. Emerson from his recent role as the Senior Vice President at Church Extension Plan. Others have known him as the Dean of Students at the Kirkland NU campus, or during his time in Pastoral Care at Peoples Church. Steve holds a master’s in counseling from Western Oregon University and a DMin from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary. For his dissertation research, Steve developed a model of conflict resolution that takes into account variations in personalities. A deep well of experience, compassion and stability, Dr. Emerson believes that his skills are entrusted to him so he can bless others – including NU Salem students!

October 2: Friends Day at NU Salem Campus
This is a great chance for you and people in your church to visit a class, learn how apply for federal financial aid, and taste the experience of learning at NU Salem. Contact Kyle Thompson for more information.
On November 13, join us for a free social media in ministry workshop and dinner from 5:45 to 6:45 on our campus in Brooks. You will learn from two students who thrive in using social media as part of their role on church staffs. RSVP by November 9 to Debbie Lamm Bray or call 503-304-0092 for more information.
