We proudly announce new ministry roles and education steps for Northwest University Salem Campus graduates and students!
Graduate Kyle Thompson Joins NU Salem Staff
Kyle Thompson (BA in Christian Leadership, 2014) joined our staff on December 1, filling the newly-developed position of Regional Admissions Counselor and Marketing Coordinator. Since his graduation from NU Salem, Kyle held staff roles at Teen Challenge centers including Education Director at Willamette Valley Teen Challenge and both Outreach Director and Program Director in Portland. Kyle’s experience in TC admissions and outreach gives him valuable insight for his NU Salem work. He has been a vocal advocate for the campus since his days as a student and is passionate about God’s work here. Welcome home, Kyle!

Current Students Step Into New Roles

Khalil Burton – Associate Students Pastor at Hope Church in Albany. Khalil is majoring in both Business and Ministry Leadership, and plans to graduate in 2019.
Lacey Lynn – Co-director of Hope Junior, the preschool at Hope Church in Albany. In May, Lacey will complete her Certificate in Ministry Leadership.
Casey Olsen – Church planting team member at Oregon State University, establishing a new Every Nation campus. Casey is in our BA in Ministry Leadership program, planning to graduate in 2019.
Trenton Reich –Worship and Young Adults Pastor for both campuses of Relevant Life Church in Salem. Trenton will graduate this coming May (2018) with his Bachelor’s in Ministry Leadership.

Recent Graduates Enroll in Master’s Programs

Jenny Knobel (BA in Ministry Leadership, 2016) – Master’s in Education at Johns Hopkins University in Boston, MA; began fall 2017.
Julie Morgan (BA in Ministry Leadership, 2016) – A competitive master’s program in special education at Western Oregon University; began fall 2017.
Efrain Perdomo (BA in Ministry Leadership, 2017) – Masters of Divinity at Dallas Theological Seminary; began fall 2017.
Zachary Shelton (BA in Ministry Leadership, 2017) –A competitive master’s program in special education at Western Oregon University; began fall 2017.
Jeremy Young (BA in Ministry Leadership, 2016) – Master’s in Theological Studies at Gateway Seminary; began in January 2017.
