My "To Do" list.
In Patrick Lencioni’s book, The Four Obsessions of an Extraordinary Executive he writes about the importance of leaders asking themselves the following question: What is the one thing I do that really matters to the organization? After reading Lencioni’s book over the holidays, I found myself reflecting on my purpose and the mission of the Next Generation Ministries. As spiritual leaders and pastors we too need to ask ourselves a similar question. That being: What is the one thing I do that really matters to the kingdom of God?
Here is my answer to that question: NextGen Ministries is here to Develop Effective NextGen workers and Build Healthy NextGen Ministries.
We do this by focusing on four things that really matter:
We ENCOURAGE through network connection points.
We EQUIP through coaching, mentoring and training.
We EMPOWER by providing relevant events, resources and ministries.
We ENLARGE by developing new young leaders.
My prayer is the same as David’s in Psalms 71:18, Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, O God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your might to all who are to come.
As we move forward into the New Year let’s do our best at keeping what really matters for the kingdom of God the most important thing on our “To Do Lists”.
