Amplify
Our upcoming event is an amazing student arts conference like nothing else being done in all of Oregon. All of you have probably heard of Fine Arts Festival, but a lot of you haven't been to one in a very long time, maybe not ever. In the last couple years this event has changed in some really outstanding ways. In fact, it's changed so much we had to give it a new name, Amplify - A Fine Arts Conference.
Amplify is an incredible opportunity for students to DISCOVER their creative gifts. It's a chance for young artists to participate in seven different presentation divisions, including Art, Communication, Drama, Instrumental, Vocal, Writing and Exhibition. The Exhibition Division is where we experiment with possible future categories. Such as worship dance, t-shirt design and hip-hop.
All these divisions add up to over 40 different presentation categories and every student who scores a Superior with Invitation is invited to participate at the national level in Detroit, Michigan. Here they can potentially earn a scholarship to one of our many respected Assemblies of God universities.
Amplify is an amazing opportunity for students to DEVELOP their gifts. This year we're taking our workshops to a new level. We are going to include some really fantastic workshops. Workshops to help students master their skills and become more effective on their campuses. Plus our Youth Leaders Green Room is back to help you develop a more healthy ministry.
At Amplify we wanted to give students the necessary tools to DEPLOY their gifts in a biblical and effective way. This year we will have two inspiring Evening Gathering that will focus on Ministry Perspective (how we use our gifts) and Ministry Motivation (why we use our gifts). We have invited two phenomenal speakers, Joel Hunter and Steve Shoop, along with a remarkable worship band, Sixteen Cities, to lead us in these Evening Gatherings.
This is not how other Networks do their Fine Arts Festivals. We want Amplify to be the most valuable, unique conference your students can attend. This year we will be in an all-new location with new categories, new speakers, a new band, new workshops, new morning jump starts and a new celebration service. And this year's new theme is This Changes Everything.
