The Truth Will Set You Free
To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
John 8:31-32
OBSERVATIONS
- Jesus himself is the truth that sets us free.
- Jesus frees us from the consequences of sin.
- Jesus frees you to be all that God intended you to be.
TODAY'S PRAYER
Heavenly Father, thank you for setting me free from the consequences of sin. Thank you for setting me free to become all you intended me to be. I pray that you will lead me through this day. I desire to be all that you have designed me to be. Open the doors that need to be opened. I will stand on your promises and in your power.

On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.”
John 7:37-38
OBSERVATIONS
- There is a thirst that only Jesus can satisfy.
- Stay thirsty, my friend.
- Victorious living comes from being filled with the Holy Spirit.
TODAY'S PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I thank you for providing living water for my life. Today, I pray that you will fill me up to overflowing. Help me to go through this day in a spirit of victory and expectation.

A strong wind was blowing and the waters grew rough. When they had rowed three or four miles, they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the water; and they were terrified. But he said to them, “It is I; don’t be afraid.” Then they were willing to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat reached the shore where they were heading.

OBSERVATIONS
- In life, you experience various kinds of storms.
- Jesus is not limited by natural laws but operates in the supernatural.
- Don’t live in fear. Live in faith and see what great things Jesus will do.
TODAY'S PRAYER
Almighty God, you rule over the winds and waves of life. You calm troubled hearts and bring peace during the storms. As I face the day, I look to you for peace and assurance. I rely upon your mighty power to keep me safe and secure. I pray for my family and friends who are faced with uncertain situations. Do a mighty work on their behalf and calm their troubled hearts.

When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, “Do you want to get well?” “Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.” Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk.” At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took place was a Sabbath.
John 5:6-9
OBSERVATIONS
- What may be impossible to others is not impossible to God.
- Faith and obedience will position you for the miracles you need.
- Better days are ahead for those who believe.
TODAY'S PRAYER
Mighty God, I praise you for the miracles you are working in my life. Thank you for changing my outlook and my situation. I bring you my limitations and impossibilities. I trust you to do the miraculous in the days ahead.

Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.

OBSERVATIONS
- True worship focuses on who God is.
- Worship needs to be a daily part of your life.
- Worship is an attitude of your heart, not a location of your body.
TODAY'S PRAYER
Father, I worship you, Almighty God! There is none like you. I worship You, O Prince of Peace; that is what I want to do. There is none like you. I pray that my life will be a witness to your magnificence. I pray that my life will be worship to your majesty.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
John 3:16-17
OBSERVATIONS
- God loves you more than you will ever fully understand.
- Be a follower of Jesus, not just a fan.
- This message is meant for everyone you meet today.
TODAY'S PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I thank you for your amazing love. Thank you for sending Jesus to save me from my sins. I accept your unconditional love for me. I pray that I will show it and share it with others. I am determined to be a follower, not just a fan. I will rest and rely upon your affection and affirmation. I am confident you are going before me.

This, the first of his miraculous signs, Jesus performed at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.

OBSERVATIONS
- Jesus still performs miracles.
- When you give what you have to Jesus, He will turn it into something greater.
- With God, the best is yet to come.
TODAY'S PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I know you are fully aware of every need I have. I believe that you can turn my struggles into solutions. Today, I put my faith in you completely. I give you the empty jars of my life. I pray that you will fill them and that every need will be supplied. I refuse to give in to doubt or discouragement. I will anticipate a miracle of supply.

When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”

- In times of uncertainty and fear, turn to God’s Word.
- Remember Jesus wants to walk with you and talk with you.
- Allow God’s Spirit to open your eyes to who He is and what He wants to do in you.
TODAY'S PRAYER
Father, I come to you today and thank you for your presence and power.
I thank you that you have never given up on me.
Open my eyes to what you are doing, as I open my heart to you.
Help me to see and sense your mighty power in and through my life.

- Forgiveness and new life come to us through Jesus.
- Thank the Lord today for His mercy and grace.
- Forgiveness is to be a character quality of the true Christ-follower.
TODAY'S PRAYER
Heavenly Father, I thank you for the forgiveness and grace that you have shown to me. Today, I walk with a new name, new life, and a new future. I have been set free from my past and released to pursue your will and ways. Help me to have a spirit of forgiveness for those who have sinned against me. Help me to release my hurts and resentment.

When he rose from prayer and went back to the disciples, he found them asleep, exhausted from sorrow.
Why are you sleeping?” he asked them. “Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation.”

OBSERVATIONS
- Be alert to the various kinds of temptations of the enemy.
- Prayer is your first step in dealing with temptation.
- Build yourself up by praying in the Spirit.
TODAY'S PRAYER
Father, help me to stand firm and strong against the temptations that come my way. Help me to grow in the areas where I’m weak and stay strong in the areas I’m confident. I will choose to be victorious and not defeated. I will choose to not give up or give in to discouragement or frustration. Thank you for giving me peace, joy, and victory.

As he looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury. He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins. “I tell you the truth,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.”

- Jesus commends generous and sacrificial giving.
- Live to give.
- If you have a need, plant a seed.
TODAY'S PRAYER
Father, I thank you for being so generous to my family and me.
Help me to keep my eyes open to bless others that are in need.
Help me to be the means of blessing, comfort, and encouragement to others.
I trust you to meet every need that I have in the days ahead.

- You will be faced with making important value choices.
- Remember you have been made in the image of God.
- Give to God your whole life, hold nothing back.

Father, I thank you for creating me. I know you have a purpose and plan for my life. Take my life and let it be consecrated, Lord, to thee. Take my time, talent, and treasure. I look forward to seeing the next steps you have in store.
