Hermiston Christian Center - December 2006

Now this worked great! This is an e-mail our office received from the WM coordinator of Hermiston Christian Center. She used her ladies Christmas party as an opportunity to have the ladies give household gifts to the missionaries through our Rose Room. Check this out.

We had our Luncheon December 9th with Judy Rachels as our speaker. It was terrific and I presented the Rose room with slides, and announced to our ladies about the angels on the tree with tags for the ladies to take home and bring back a gift. We already have over 25 gifts and I have put a deadline as January 15 for the rest. I'm not sure how I'm getting them there but I have a lady in our church that has relatives down there and may bring them. I'm also waiting on Agape house because sometimes Walmart donates things we can use around this time of year. Just filling you in on whats happening. I was really surprised at such a good response for the tree. We will have to make this an annual thing at the luncheon. The deacon of the day giving announcements always called it the Rose Tree.....Isn't this great..I'm so thrilled.

We had a craft nite at one of our ladies house and we made over 50 angels out of seashells and decorated them with heads, hair, doves, ribbon, etc. We had fun and they turned out really cute.
