Oregon Leadership TrainingThis page is a constant work in progress, just like our involvement in training should be, and as such please remember check it everytime you visit the Royal Ranger webpage. We will constantly be adding, updating and providing you with helpful and informative ideas to help you with your outpost. The following are links to the National Royal Rangers Training page, as well as the NW Regional Royal Rangers Training page as well: National Royal Rangers Training Opportunities NW Region Royal Rangers Training Page ************************* LTA-LEADERSHIP TRAINING ACADEMY A New Training Philosophy With the development of the LTA, the Royal Rangers ministry has adopted a continuous training philosophy based on "modules" that a commander can complete in eight hours or less. This approach gives commanders the ability to customize a training plan that meets their unique needs! The LTA allows additional modules to be added as new training ideas or program changes are incorporated into Royal Rangers. This makes the LTA a life-long commitment to training! Scroll down to see some of the modules with an estimated of teaching time or click here to see all of the Modules Available Now. Ranger Basics (6 hours) Ranger Kids Skills (4 hours) RK, DR/AR, or ER Age-Specific Activities (3 hours per module) Discipleship 1 and 2 (2 hours each) How to Start an Outpost (2 hours) Working with Boys with Disabilities (2 hours) Safety and the Church (2 hours) Successful Outposts (3 hours) The Patrol Method (2 hours) Classroom Management (3 hours) Presentation Skills (3 hours) ************************* LEADERS MEDAL OF ACHIEVEMENT Royal Ranger leaders can earn the LMA or Leaders Medal of Achievement. All Royal Ranger leaders should strive to earn their LMA; not so you can wear a shiny medal on your uniform but for two reasons: 1) to be an example to the boys and parents that you are committed to constantly improving your skills and knowledge and 2) so you can be better equipped to efficiently and effecively lead this ministry to boys at your church. The required elements to earn the Leaders Medal of Achievement through the LTA are: Ranger Basics Discipleship 1 and 2 LTA Campout, NTC, or RKTC Safety and the Church Successful Outpost One Age-Specific Activities Module 1.
