This is typically our largest class and the boys are challenged in areas of leadership, goal setting, skills, and devotions. The boys are split into 4 to 8 groups called patrols, where they are required to work as a team to accomplish specific tasks designed to help them learn teamwork and leadership skills. Each boy will be given the opportunity to be either a Patrol Guide or Assistant Patrol Guide, where they will learn the skills necessary to be a good leader as well as a good follower. ![]() ADVENTURE TRAINING CAMP or "ATC" is a camp for boys entering the 6th grade this fall and is another of our very popular training camps. At the Adevnture Training Camp, boys will continue their path of becoming good Christian leaders and role models in their outpost, church and community. They will work on more advance skills as well as honing those skills they have previously learned in the Outpost or prior training camps. Hereto, the boys are placed in patrols and given the challenge of leading other and learning how to properly motivate and encourage others. ![]() The Junior Leadership Training Academy or "JLTA" or simply "The Academy" is actually a series of courses that are designed to provide young men with elective courses in areas they are interested in. There are two core classes that are required and numerous elective courses that are offered on a three year rotating schedule. Once the young men have completed 5 Academy camps, they graduate from the Academy and are presented with a sabre and are extended the invitation of being student instructors at subsequent Academy experiences. JUNIOR TRAINING CAMP or "JTC" is the first of the two required courses. JTC is for boys entering the 7th through 12th grades this fall and is an extension of DTC and ATC where the boys further challenged in leadership, goal setting, skills and devotion. ADVANCED JUNIOR TRAINING CAMP or "AJTC" is the second of two required courses and is for boys entering the 8th through 12th grades this fall. It is designed to take the skills learned in all of the prior camp experiences and drive them home once final time in order to engrain these skills and experiences into the boys so they are first nature to him. As Christians we strive to be more like Christ and likewise, as Rangers we strive to be more like our Master Ranger, Jesus Christ and the learning process never stops. The following are the various elective training camps that are offered or are being considered for upcoming years: JUNIOR TRAINING TRAIL (JTT), JUNIOR SURVIVAL CAMP (JSC), JUNIOR WINTER CAMP (JWC), JUNIOR CANOEING EXPEDITION (JCE), JUNIOR MISSIONS CAMP (JMC), JUNIOR AQUATICS CAMP (JAC), ELITE JUNIOR TRAINING CAMP (EJTC).
