This year, Barbara and I complete 10 years of service as Next Generation Ministries Directors for the Oregon Ministry Network. Wow! What a ride. Every day I feel like I’m living a life I don’t deserve. Proverbs 8:14 reminds us “Common sense and success belong to me (the Lord).” Looking back, we’re so grateful for the many successes we’ve seen, and are very aware all our successes are a gift from God and have little to do with our human achievements.

Proverbs 8:14 reminds us “Common sense and success belong to me (the Lord).”

As I reflect over the past decade, much has changed in kids and youth ministry, but our mission has not changed. We are still committed to Developing Effective Leaders and Building Healthy Ministries. We’re also dedicated to the four main priorities of a healthy and effective ministry, those being: Quality Resources, Trained Leaders, a Strong Community, and an unwavering commitment to God’s Mission.

We have much to celebrate and be thankful for these past 10 years. Next Generation Ministries has witnessed the Spirit of God move in all our Conferences, Conventions, and Camps. In addition to this, together we’ve give over 2-million dollars to Boys & Girls Missionary Challenge and Speed the Light. This has allowed us to take care of all our Missionaries’ needs. My goal for both BGMC and STL has not changed over all these years. I still desire to see 100% of our OMN churches participating! Why is this so important? Because we’re responsible for training up the next generation of givers in the Assemblies of God; until all know!

Thank you, Kids & Youth Leaders, for all you do to reach this next generation for Jesus Christ. It’s been an honor and privilege to serve you and this incredible Network for the past decade. I appreciate the opportunity and trust you have given Barbara and me, and we look forward to all God has planned for this year and beyond.
